Best Used: To relax.  Increased oxygen flow can also cleanse the inner organs.

I like using this technique when I am feeling out of balance or chaotic inside or have feelings of doubt and insecurity.

SUFI MOTHER’S BREATH

  • Sit in a comfortable position.
  • Relax; close your eyes.
  • Exhale with a sigh to reset your diaphragm. 
  • Breathe in through your nose for a slow count of 7.
  • Hold your breath for a brief moment/slight pause.
  • Breathe out through your nose for a count of 7.
  • Hold your breath for a brief moment/slight pause.
  • Repeat for 5 minutes to start, increasing to 30+ minutes over time.

POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS:
These can be repeated like a mantra over and over while doing the breath technique:

  • I breathe easy knowing that I am safe and secure.
